FeedFox is made by one person, Owen. I usually reply within a couple of days. For a bug, it helps to say your phone model, Android version, the FeedFox version (on its Google Play page, under About this app) and the feed address if it's about one feed.

Common questions

How do I add a feed?

Tap + in the sidebar and paste a website or feed address. FeedFox finds the feed for you. You can also browse sources by topic in Discover (the globe in the sidebar) or import an OPML file in Settings.

Do I need an account?

No. Pick “On this phone” and everything stays on your device. If you already use Feedbin, FreshRSS or Miniflux, sign in to sync with it.

Why did a summary or translation fail?

The built-in AI has fair-use limits, and very long articles may be too big. Wait a minute and try again, or add your own AI provider in Settings → Intelligent Features.

An article only shows a few lines

Some feeds only publish a preview. Tap “Extract Full Content” on the article, or turn on “Always load full article” in Settings.

Read aloud or podcasts stop with the screen off

Some phones close apps in the background to save battery. In Android settings, set FeedFox's battery use to “Unrestricted”.

How do I move my feeds to another phone?

On the old phone, use “Export to OPML” in Settings. On the new one, use “Import from file”. Sync accounts carry over when you sign in again.

How do I delete my data?

FeedFox has no FeedFox account, so there's nothing to delete on our side. To remove everything on your phone, use “Remove Account” (or “Log Out” for a sync service) in Settings, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. See the privacy policy for details.
